Shocking video surfaced via TMZ showing an altercation between Floyd "Money" Mayweather(46-0 26kos) and 3 time Grammy award winner Clifford Joseph "T.I.P." Harris Jr. in a famous Vegas restaurant "Fat Burger". The altercation is rumored to be motivated by Mayweather's interaction with T.I.'s wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle on May 25, 2014. TMZ cell phone video shows Mayweather surrounded by his bodyguards as a chair is thrown and all hell breaks lose. Mayweather is sit to chose his opponent for his September 13, 2014 fight in the coming weeks.



Marcos Rene "El Chino" Maidana(34-4 31kos) told trainer Robert Garcia that if Mayweather does not chose to fight him in a rematch September 13, 2014 he will retire. Floyd "Money" Mayweather(46-0 26kos) will announce his next opponent in early June of 2014. Maidana was rumored to be offered a fight with Keith "One time" Thurman(23-0 21kos) on Mayweather's undercard. Amir "King" Khan(29-3 19kos) is heavily rumored to be chosen however Khan has stated that he cannot fight in September due to religious beliefs. Khan is currently the WBC number 1 contender at 147lbs.



CEO Leonard Ellerbe of Mayweather Promotions officially announced on May 19, 2014 that Floyd "Money" Mayweather(46-0 26kos) will return to the September 13, 2014 on Showtime Pay-Per-View in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The announcement comes just 2 weeks after Mayweather scored a highly contested majority decision victory over Marcos "El Chino" Rene Maidana(34-4 31kos) on May 3, 2014.

On May 2, 2014 just hours after the weigh in chaos ensued when Floyd "Money" Mayweather(45-0 26kos) and team which included close friend and adviser Leonard Ellerbe and father/trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. went to inspect the gloves of opponent Marcos Rene "El Chino" Maidana(34-3 31kos). Ellerbe noticed that the knuckle area of the gloves looked flat and worn. Mayweather then put the glove and and realized there was no horsehair in the knuckle area. Mayweather's camp insinuated foul play on the side of Robert Garcia and #teammaidana. Ellerbe later announced that he fight was off. Even later Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer stated that the boxing commission has approved pair of designated gloves for the fighters and the fight is still on. No word yet from the Mayweather camp.
