A disturbing video showing a Texas teen named Sharkeisha violently pummelling another girl has racked by some estimates over 12 million views.
It was the sucker punch heard around the world. The clip shows Sharkeisha delivering a sucker punch to her classmate, 17-year-old ShaMichael Manuel and continuing to kick and hit her while she was on the ground.
The wrong lessons sadly appear to have been drawn from the brutal assault and in its aftermath some have cheered on Sharkeisha as if she had won a boxing championship.
The Houston teen has become somewhat of an Internet sensation. She's gained thousands of Twitter followers almost overnight, become an Internet meme and has even had a song written about her.
"They're making jokes, and they're taunting. They're glorifying the girl Sharkeisha, but they're taunting my daughter at the same time," ShaMichael's mother Olevia Henderson told local station KHOU-TV. "The video's just going and going."
