O'Dea brought in monstrous marijuana loads with a self styled band of pirate pot friends. During his smuggling career, O'Dea smuggled in somewhere between $100-$300 million worth of cannabis. He became addicted to coke, cleaned up, got straight, then got busted by a vengeful DEA.

Like most Newfoundlanders his storytelling skills are amazeballs and his book HIGH: Confessions of International Drug Smuggler has won Arthur Ellis Award for Best Non-Fiction Crime. O'Dea will read and sign copies of the book on Tuesday July 22 at Vapor Central starting at 720pm.
